I was brought up in London, and came to Glasgow to study for a year. That was 32 years ago and I’m still here.

I studied French at university, worked in IT, then trained as a counsellor, having volunteered with The Samaritans. I’ve worked in high schools, universities, the NHS, on a helpline for young people and with oncology patients and ran a small private practice. I’ve volunteered with the GFT for 8 years. Since retiring, I joined Humanist Society of Scotland and for the past 15 months I’ve been chair of the Glasgow Humanist group.
