Elhan Afzal was born in Afghanistan in 1984. He is a freelance journalist and former NCA (National Crime Agency) employee at the British Embassy in Kabul. Elhan has a special interest in storytelling and conflict from his home country and recently moved to Scotland, United Kingdom after fleeing Afghanistan. His work has been published in The Times, By The Lines, AOAV (Action on Armed Violence), Daily Beast, Open Democracy, Migrants Voice, Scottish Refugee Council, and United Nations.
