Scotland doesn’t need Farage’s hate

Scotland can see through Reform UK’s claim to be on the side of ordinary people while acting in the interests of the rich

Nigel Farage thinks he can march into our communities, wag his finger at working people, and sell the same snake oil that’s poisoned British politics for over a decade. I’ve got a message for him and his billionaire-backed Reform UK party: we’re not buying it.

Scotland isn’t some branch office of Farage’s little Englander fantasy. We’re not going to be lectured by a man who cashed in on Brexit, cheered on austerity, and now pretends to be the voice of the people while palling around with hedge fund managers and right-wing media barons. He doesn’t speak for the nurses stretched to breaking point. He doesn’t speak for the families skipping meals to heat their homes. He doesn’t speak for Scotland. And we’re not going to be quiet about it.

Let’s call this out for what it is. Reform UK is a rich man’s revolt – a desperate attempt to turn working-class anger into a weapon for the same elites who’ve robbed this country blind. They want us to blame migrants instead of the elite. They want us to hate trans people instead of tax dodgers. They want you looking sideways while they keep bleeding the system dry.

Well, enough is enough.

Voices of the people

Scotland deserves better than Westminster’s chaos and Farage’s sideshow. We need a government that puts working people first – a government that will tax wealth, not wages. A government that will build council homes, not sell them off. A government that will take back control of our energy from profiteering giants and invest it in our communities. That’s the kind of independence my party is fighting for. Not some flag-waving gimmick, but a real break from broken Britain.

Farage doesn’t want to empower you – he wants to distract you. Because if people ever woke up to who really runs this rigged system, the Nigel Farages of the world wouldn’t last five minutes.

In my campaign, our fight is with the Westminster system that we believe has failed too many for too long. Our movement is rooted in our local communities – where real people live and struggle every day. And it’s those voices – not the loudmouths on GB News – that we would be taking to Holyrood.

So, let’s make this crystal clear ahead of the next Scottish Parliament election: Scotland isn’t Reform UK’s playground. Farage might be a big noise on the telly, but up here, we see right through him.

Let’s shut the door on hate, and open it to hope, justice, and self-determination. Scotland’s future doesn’t lie with Farage. It lies with its people.

More on politics.
