On the show today, Ronnie Barbour meets Sarah, that’s not her real name which we’ve changed to protect her anonymity. As a GP and the mother of an autistic son, she’s able to give us a unique insight into the issues facing parents and medical professionals coping with children with ASN (Additional Support Needs). They also talked about the problems of placing neurodivergent children into mainstream education and the pressures the NHS is under in treating patients with mental health illness.
